Plaza 16 Project

Plaza 16 is a project of the Mission Community Council to promote community unity, culture, and safety at the 16th Street BART plaza by creating a space that is friendly to all community members. The group organizes rotating art displays at the plaza and works with BART and the city to promote events and vending on the plaza.

The Project aims to transform Plaza 16 into a safe, beautiful and functional cultural commons through weekly activities, quarterly events, and bi-monthly exhibitions. Take a look at our Press Center to see pictures and articles from past events, check out the exhibitions that have been up at the Artspace in the past, or find out about recent and upcoming events at the Plaza.

We would like to thank the Walter and Elise Haas Foundation and the Wells Fargo Foundation for their generous support of the Plaza project.
