The Ladies Night exhibit, opened on March 12, 2007 in conjuction with the Second Annual Love Your Mission Day. The exhibition is a series of individual portraits of Mission Women by Kari Orvik. The photographs were taken at the Mission Neighborhood Center with participants from Ladies Night.

Ladies Night is a weekly drop-in program for homeless women in the Mission and SF’s only women’s syringe exchange. Ladies night is a collaboration of Mission Neighborhood Resource Center, San Francisco Needle Exchange, Women’s Community Clinic, Care Through Touch Institute and the Street Outreach Services. Since 2004, this collective effort has created a safe, women-only space where ladies can get support to make life on the streets more bearable and make positive changes.
