Homeless Advocacy for the Mission (HAM)

HAM members advocate for the diverse needs of the homeless in the Mission District and work to preserve services and resources for homeless communities.

They do this by:

  • Developing a network of community stakeholders for the homeless.
  • Educating the community regarding the needs of the homeless.
  • Tracking the effects of homeless policies on the homeless population and the neighborhood resources available to them.
  • Providing expertise, information and guidance to public representatives; such as supervisors and public department representatives.

Statement of Purpose

To Preserve the Human Rights and Advocate for the Diverse Needs of our Homeless Community by helping Mission Homeless voices to be heard, educating city decision makers, strengthening collaborations, sharing resources and knowledge, and providing a collective voice for Mission CBO’s.
