Columbia Park and Southern Exposure, Senses
Senses, was created through Southern Exposure’s Artists in Education (AIE) Program with members of the Columbia Park Boys and Girls Club. The program utilized Columbia Park Boys and Girls Club as a site for creating art that responds to the Boys and Girls Club community and the surrounding Mission District neighborhood. Over the course of six weeks, youth participants worked with artists Marijke Jorritsma and Jordan Stein to create an installation inside the Club that focuses on developing young artists’ understanding of site-specific contemporary art making and urban cartography - and also produced Senses. |
